The Archives Project

**RELEASE DATE: 21 JUNE 2026**

Book Two of The Survivor Covenant

The shocking events of the Thirtieth Anniversary have challenged the equilibrium of the Dome. Alone and haunted by a past she can’t remember, Claudia is relegated to the top-secret Archives Project. Her new friends are other system rejects who, like her, have been wiped and recycled.

To regain her memories and learn what really happened on the Anniversary, Claudia has to trust someone she’s always feared.

For the Dome community to survive, things have to change, but the system has to change too, and forces in the powerful Directorate are pushing back.

But change is coming all the same. Betrayed and angry, what price will Claudia pay to know the full truth?

When I finished the original version of The Inheritors in 1986, I had no plans for a sequel. I was raring to leave home and start university in the big city, an adventure that consumed all my energy, attention and fortitude. The next novel, Time To Go, reflected real-world experiences.

In my third year, I watched the Berlin Wall come down on TV in a share house in Carlton, Melbourne. The Cold War ended, and the post-nuclear apocalypse novel was suddenly way out of date.

We’re now facing apocalypse on multiple fronts. Forms of dystopia are creeping up on us, darkening the edges of everyday life.

I started rewriting The Inheritors in the winter of 2023. Almost immediately, I thought about what would happen next. A very particular image formed in my mind; the rest followed.

To anyone who read the original novel, back in the late 1980s/early 1990s, and was left wondering by the ending, you won’t have to wait too much longer!
